Perhaps the OP thought there were additional benefits to be made from *A gold status on LH/LX.

Other than separate check in line, additional/priority baggage, priority boarding, and lounge access, there really isn't much else *A Gold would provide in the case of normal operations.

*A does not roll out the red carpet for *A gold members much less allow you to select a seat in advance if you buy a cheap fare.
