Really wondering why nobody else in the cabin was downgraded to W instead of me, since BA proffer "We'll also work to ensure your plans aren't disrupted when flights get busy" on the Gold Tier benefits page.
Not that I would especially WANT to inconvenience someone else but they could've been downgraded and then me shifted to occupy their seat and this is what is inferred by BA's hollow promise/marketing.
If I was the Premium Manager at the gate then I'd have maybe sought that as a solution before someone else. Or maybe the cabin was full of Prem's and GGL's?
I think up to now most other posters have been supportive. However I fear if you make this an 'I'm too important to downgrade' type scenario that might unravel a bit....
It really wasn't anyone else's problem despite what the marketing guff might say.
