Would it be legal, if unprecedented, for the CSD to place a folded blanket on a "bar box" to be used as an in-flight footrest - as long as it was removed and re-stowed if any turbulence was encountered? I have seen crew use "bar boxes" as temporary seats in the galley in the wee small hours when passengers are all snoring their heads off!
hahah thats what i was thinking but didn't say a nice crate would do the trick = )
