If I Transfer 100K Chase points to Hyatt after 3/1/17 - Will this give U Globalist Status (the replacement top status for Diamond)?

The new program says that if you earn 100k or more points, you can get the top status in 2017. My question is will transfers count as "earning", similar to the Rapid Rewards companion pass counting credit card bonuses and transfers towards companion status.
