We were going to drive down from Nelson to Marlborough wine region and then to Kaikoura, Christchurch then down to Queenstown, starting early next week. This seems out of the question now as Kaikoura is devastated. It seems it may be possible to re-route down the west coast however, and flights are still operating into Nelson. There are no travel waivers in place. Does this seem reasonable or should i reroute further away from affected regions?
