A friend from Japan is flying to Cuba on Air Canada via Toronto.

If possible I would like to see her at Pearson while she waits for her connection, but that only works if she has to exit customs and then re-clear security in Terminal 1.

Does anyone know whether she has to clear Canadian customs and security at Pearson or can she go directly from the one gate to the other? I see she arrives at E75 and departs from E72...
