Found this on SPG reservations made prior to matching. Appears the hotel didn't refresh status alert. So it was showing me as Gold instead of Platinum.

Seems that Marriott properties re-affirm current elite status when touching the reservation and at check in, while SPG system holds to status at time reservation was made unless you specifically request they update.
