In the Beijinger post JPDM referenced #210, there is some chatter about linking Alipay or Baidu wallet with foreign cards, but no concrete advice. This is presumably because most people give up, and the goalposts change frequently (also an issue with Wechat wallet).

An easy solution is to ask others to transfer money to the wallet of your choice. (I often find myself on the sending end of this equation.)
