Was the call button broken as well? While most would not see a quick trip to the galley as beneath them, certainly the button is reasonable
Seems different folks have different views on whether it's reasonable to go to the galley or use the call bell to ask for a drink while the crew are obviously busy with meal service and the bar run is expected a few minutes later.
