Pattaya and 5*, is there such a thing? I've never had an issue and I would have raised a BIG issue if someone at Le Meridien, St. Regis, the W, JW Marriott, Renaissance or Banyan Tree ever mentioned such a thing.

I've only encountered something like this once and that was c 2004 in Florence near Santa Maria Novella when I was at some cheaper place that charged per person per room. They said if my guest didn't leave by 1am that I would have to pay.
