my bet is that you will get a ga al fl tagged minivan that they held aside just for you to take back. i dunno how it works exactly but apparently out of state tags don't generate revenue for the far flung station you rent it from, andor the origin station is keen to have that vehicle back. rentals in the us are a very regional/district kinda game not a universal national game. i think that's why you got a deal (ny surplussed on ga>ny one ways) but maybe someone more familiar with this game could chime in.

either way you'll have a comfortable + cheap + fun ride back from ny. and for a lot cheaper than cnx onwards to atl (plus transportation from there). nice score.
