Threads like this is why when I was booking a trip to Japan I decided not to use the Delta Metal to connect to MU. And the PVG layover is 4Hr inbound and 3hr30min on the outbound.

And the MQM bonus when booking what is still cheaper than Delta. And if someone really needs MQDs the 'percent of distance flown' is quite nice as well.
