That must have been agonizing. With only some 10 people in front of me, still took close to half an hour to get through there, and then the extra thorough security another 10 min. Don't know why but they took a good 2-3 minutes with each pax at the passport check. At least courteous and helpful staff, looked up and told me the connection gate and the nearest lounge to it (without being asked, so may be that is why it took so long with each person).
LOL it definitely wasn't pleasant. Got lucky that time though, the line had maybe 30 or 40 people in it by only took us 20 minutes max. Helped that MU brought a third agent in to work the desk just after we got in line.
