Who is in front?
Under the rule as applied to my reservation, I would be. I booked first.
Under the rule as applied to Joe's reservation, Joe would be, he is in a higher fare class.
Is the logic that those booked prior to 12/5 will be treated as having an infinitely high fare class so they clear before all those booked 12/5 and beyond at that tier level? Then those booked 12/5 and beyond will be sorted by fare class?
I have to have some fare class ranking for the processor to work, it is either at the ceiling or floor of the fare class sort.
Ahhh... so if I opt-out at booking, as a 75K, I can still just pick a PC seat.
A Gold or MVP will see the map open at their window.
The wording in the web site guidance talks about "availability" of PC a lot which infers a restricted inventory opening up, like U, that may not equal the full set of open seats.
It's my understanding that you will be upgraded before Joe.
I think "availability" is intended to mean that PC is not available on all flights.
