I will be checking in bags and since AA won't check my bags through anymore - is 1:45 sufficient for me to collect my bags and check-in with QR at ATL? I read on the website that QR closes its check-in 1 hour before to departure.

An alternative is to take WN that arrives at 15:00 but I prefer the AA flight. I haven't been to ATL before and I know it's huge. Is it something like DEN where you have a main terminal and then you take a train to the other concourses? Thank you in advance!
Your only looking at nonstop. AA has a ton of better arrival times with one stop in either PHX/DFW/MIA/CLT/PHL. Nonstop is $100 and connecting is $150. There's a 7am through DFW in at 4pm. Theres a 6am through either PHX or DFW that gets in at 330pm or also at 4pm. Etc...

Plenty of AA options.
