I have a ATL-DOH flight in January and I am looking to buy a separate LAX-ATL ticket to connect to my ATL-DOH. My ATL-DOH leaves at 19:45 and the first same-day LAX-ATL arrives at ATL at 18:03.

I will be checking in bags and since AA won't check my bags through anymore - is 1:45 sufficient for me to collect my bags and check-in with QR at ATL? I read on the website that QR closes its check-in 1 hour before departure.

An alternative is to take WN that arrives at 15:00 but I prefer the AA flight. I haven't been to ATL before and I know it's huge. Is it something like DEN where you have a main terminal and then you take a train to the other concourses? Thank you in advance!
