So they might codeshare the SEA-DAL nonstop into the DAL market?
We still don't know enough here.
If codeshares are involved, I've have to hope that AA and AS will still be able to codeshare on flights 'beyond' each others hub. That is, AA can take pax from Dallas or beyond to Seattle, to continue on AS to AS-routes not served by AA (of which there are many out of SEA).
Same goes the other way, where one could fly AS to DFW, then continue on AA to many of the Texas, Southeast, and Central and South America markets AS does not serve, but AA does out of DFW.
Presumably, AS would not want to split these passengers, with Dallas O&D pax split off to DAL. So, I wonder if DAL would be better served out of some of the California airports (LAX, SJC, SFO, etc) where AS wouldn't have to worry as much about the "beyond" code-share passenger flows at the respective AA and AS hubs.
