Just my two cents (and I hope it's not straying too far into Omni PR territory) is that a Trump administration wouldn't be in place until January (or later) and even then, most of the foundation work would be done by the same civil service employees. Delaying the review until January would probably reflect badly on AS from market/shareholders, continue uncertainty for customers and employees, allow competitors to move in, and continue to suck time and energy towards merger approval rather than implementation.
