BA used to offer a higher cabin baggage allowance to CW and F passengers. I don't understand why BA don't reinstate this. When I travel in a premium cabin I don't expect to have to worry about whether I'm going to be able to take my hand luggage on board my connecting flight. The current hand luggage situation is down to BA's seat densification and greed. They know that they can't accommodate all cabin baggage on a full flight, and yet they still have the same mealy-mouthed "information" that their hand luggage policy is two pieces. You have to scroll down to "How to store your bags on board" to find out what the real cabin baggage allowance is.

I always travel with checked luggage. I only carry things in my hand luggage that can't be checked. If my hand luggage can't go on board, neither can I. BA is making flying in a premium cabin too stressful. The random, but not quite random, selection of cabin bags to go in the hold makes flying BA a complete crapshoot.

From ba.com:

Every flight includes our generous free baggage allowance, giving you plenty of space for everything you might need throughout your journey.

All other flights
Adults, young adults and children
1 handbag/laptop bag (max. 23kg / 51lb and up to 40 x 30 x 15cm / 16 x 12 x 6in)

plus

1 additional cabin bag (max. 23kg / 51lb and up to 56 x 45 x 25cm / 22 x 18 x 10in)

How to store your bags on board

To help you get to your destination on time, we will attach a yellow tag to your handbag or laptop bag. You can also collect one from the check-in desk or by speaking to a member of British Airways staff.

Place the bag with the yellow tag under the seat in front of you (except when travelling in First, Club World, Club World London City, or if you sit in an exit row or bulkhead seat at the front of the cabin).

Your additional cabin bag goes into the overhead locker. If we do not have space on board, you will need to check in this bag into the aircraft hold.
