See my post below re the AUH flight. I have found the cabin crew generally responsive to reasonable requests to adjust the temp. It certainly does not hurt to ask. It involves nothing more than the turn of a dial or flick of a switch. In F I would not think twice about asking.

After all the crew are there for to 'enhance' your safety and comfort ....
