I recently had a similar (I think) ex-Dub AA ticket on BA metal to the west coast. I was able to change destination and origin, although origin seemed a bit harder.

Apparently the new origin had to be a country with the same currency as Dublin. I wanted to fly from Stockholm but had to settle for Helsinki!
