The renovation of the Palace combined with one of the best buffet breakfasts of any hotel in SF blows the Hyatt out of the water. The renovation of the Le Meridien (former Park Hyatt) is also very nice. The Hyatt is blah. The rooms still look dated and even the balcony suites have impractical furniture. You check in through the app and then if you want anything better than a standard room with Regency Club access it is all up to whether the front desk person is in a good or bad mood.

Yes, there are nice views from the Regency Club but that is really one of the few good things about it.
