For coach travel, I don't think the OP should care about service, in any case. All they do is give you a tray with food. Then take it away. Then pass one or two rounds of drinks. All always in a rush since there are hundreds of pax in coach. Not much service to expect.
This reminds me that on CDG-PHL in Y week before last they actually came around cabin mid-flight with some pretty darned tasty ice cream, Never seen that one before. In fact, I remember being struck by how good the crew was, and how many times they passed with one thing or another during the 8-hr return.

In sum: Both going and coming back, A332 PHL-CDG-PHL in Y was tolerable to pleasant enough that I convinced my wife that it was worth risking in event SWU's don't clear on forthcoming trip over!
