The fare is actually $0. It's all taxes. I was really surprised to see it; just hope it stays around a few more hours while we try to get everything together to book it.

Nice work on London-Amsterdam by ferry - not many people think to do that. It's actually a very efficient use of time: train out of Liverpool Street station around 18.30, sail overnight and get a decent sleep in a proper bed, arrive in Amsterdam by train around 10.00 the next day - much less stressful than flying if you can spare the night! Let me know if you have any questions about that trip - have done it a few times now. Seat61 website also has a good review of the journey details.
I've never done the ferry, but I've wanted to, and I think it works out well with a day flight to London to allow a single day of sightseeing. Seat61 and Bahn.com are my two most consulted websites when it comes to European travel plans.
