I have no doubt that Citi could have offered the EQD waiver on their cards if they were willing to pay for it.
I think we were expecting that so I weaned all my spend off the card over the last few months. Called today and cancelled - the renewal fee was due on this months bill so I keep that $95. Gave them the run down when they wanted to know why I was leaving.
