While I generally agree that for a typical transit it would not be worth going to the D clubs, if the conditions are right then going to the Premiere Lounge in E would be worth the effort. I am assuming that they are accepting the passes in the E lounge as AA has pretty much said they are treating it as a regular AAdmirals Club while the others are being renovated.
The club is immediately after E security, and the walk from the G exit to E security is only about five minutes. E does not have Pre-Check, but they do have a priority line and TSA will give you the card that exempts you from removing shoes, belts and coats.
I would try it if:
- The airport is not too crowded and I could expect to get through security twice without much pain.
- I had a long enough layover to have at least 90 minutes in the lounge. With deplaning, walking, 2X security and being at the gate 30 minutes ahead, that would require a layover of no less than 2.5 hours and more like 3 to be safe.
