Easiest airport from Crown Hts (Brooklyn)

Per the title, the SO lives in Crown Heights, near a subway stop so accessible to both rail and bus transit options. Looking at swinging by on my way back to DC after seeing the family back in CVG for Christmas, and trying to figure out the airports side. No particular objection to the car option, just trying to focus on transit options. Here is what I have so far as someone who is not NYC-literate:

-Seems like JFK is generally more convenient to large swaths of Brooklyn the borough, and Crown Heights in particular. Again, as a non-New Yorker I obviously have no idea about actual real-world traffic and all that so no way to gauge if the geographic proximity of JFK would make a difference.

-JFK clearly easier via transit with the AirTrain connection to the NYC subway system. Not ideal like my hometown DCA but still a viable rail option.

-JFK obviously much bigger and more complex as an airport, so adding travel time to deal with the extra logistics involved vs. the smaller LGA (would this make up some/all of the travel time difference?). I'm coming from my DC mindset where one of the tough sells of IAD vs. DCA is getting me to deal with the much longer curb-to-gate time and hassle.

-Seems like broadly speaking lots of domestic JFK trips can end up being cheaper ceteris paribus than the LGA option. So if it turns out JFK does have some logistical benefit, this seems like a plus there.

-The flip side to the above is a lighter schedule since JFK is of course better attuned to connections than the business O&D at LGA.

-DL is my #1 for this type of itinerary, but I wouldn't have any objection to AA if there is some benefit to using them (better terminal access, etc.).

Any thoughts appreciated here!
