what does one do if they left something on the plane, and its only about 20 mins after landing?
I recently landed in SYD, on Y, but breezed through the immigration machines and thanks to the express pass from being a DM, went traight through customs. I only had carry on and was 1st in line for a taxi, so in no time I was on my way. As soon as we drove off i realized I had left my flask on the plane! Were it to be a few hours later I knew I'd have to go through airport lost and found, but here I thought i may still catch CX staff onboard somehow.
I called CX in HK (was night in SYD) and they told me I need to call the airport. The SYD airport told me I need to to contact the Airline's local office during business hours. Frustrated, I called the MP club (only because they always seem go the extra mile for DMs) and they said its an airline issue, but took the description and said they will submit for me. A Day later I called the local office, who took my details and description of the flask and said only if anything is found, will they contact me.
How's best to handle such a situation , especially when its so soon after landing, or does that become irrelevant once I've left the airport?
