Nice review. I'm in KL and considering a weekend at this hotel in JB for exactly the same reason (I'm SPG Platinum and have already requalified for next year so don't need the SPG nights).
Like the fact that the lounge makes it pretty much all-inclusive. Cheap flight. Cheap hotel. All food and booze. Nice.
I stayed at the hotel last week. First time as MR Platinum. Pre upgraded to junior suite. Quite nice room with bath tube.
The hotel is located in Premas Jaya which is on the way to Padir Gudang so it is quite some distance from JB Sentral.
So depend what you are looking.
