Reading backwards, huh?

I assume you're reading the
Membership Levels page on HH web site. Quite confusingly, it does contradict the official
HHonors Terms and Conditions:
"At Hilton Garden Inn hotels, Diamond VIP members will receive complimentary continental breakfast each morning for the member and one additional person throughout the stay or a $5.00 coupon for use during stay at the Pavilion Pantry® (excludes alcohol)."
One would think that someone at HH proofreads whatever is posted on their own site, but apparently that is not the case. IMHO, it is unacceptable for HH to allow that.
Personally, I usually accept the wording in the official HHonors Terms and Conditions over whatever is being posted on other parts of the site, but that's just me.
That said, as a matter of my personal experience, I've been upgraded to suites (they are usually called parlor suites and consist of two rooms, living room and a small bedroom, combined about 1.5 times longer than a regular room and having the same width) at various HGI's 70-80% of the time. Never had to ask for it either. As usual, YMMV.
