I'd like to add to the Air NZ mixed bag experiences lately. I flew to MEL from CHC earlier in the week and the crew onboard (as they always seem to be) were great. However, returning back from MEL there is a temporary lounge. The lounge dragon announced over the PA that they were expecting 170 passengers in the lounge. There was hardly any seats left. Food was actually very good however, especially for a temporary lounge. Lady at the checkin counter was extremely rude however and outright refused to provide a pen briefly in order to fill in the departure card. This has never been a problem previously. She was very rude and condescending about the matter. I know even Jetstar have done this for me in the past (as I can be very forgetful, re: pen).
