I'm arriving on an AF flight into T2E from Canada. Connecting to an AF flight that will depart from 2E-G.
I'm not familiar with this type of connection at CDG. But will it be possible
- for me to only pass through security upon arrival into T2E and from within the transit area, walk to T2E-G to the Yotel? In other words, can my connecting boarding pass allow me to get through the security check upon arrival but stay within the international connection area?
- upon leaving the yotel, will it be possible to leave the transit area and get on the red/yellow bus to T2E-G? My guess is that this may be the tricky one --- it often has been cumbersome to get someone to escort me out of the international transit area of airports, although I've never tried this at CDG (done this in HKG to visit an airside lounge upon arrival, but then wanted to leave the airport to visit the city for a few hours). I gather it is upon getting off this bus at T2E-G that I will finally go through passport check to enter the schengen area---that is correct, right?
