Interesting since I never see immediate charges on US based OTAs, just a hold. It could be because large US based OTAs have 24 hour free cancellation based on US laws even if flights do not touch US soil. I usually see a charge 2 business days later.
All in all, if you could find the booking on the airline site, I wouldn't worry much. Even though there are some bad CS stories involving Expedia, they are usually over flight change and more of a "pain in the butt to correct" type. It is the biggest OTA in US (maybe the world).
Ok thanks for the info, the flight was the same price on Qatar site. What is the best thing to do in that case, book using OTA or direct with airline?
