Very simple and generally nobody else going through the security point before riding the elevator up to the departures area. Last time I did this was actually flying STAR (AC in J) and was met as we deplaned, escorted to the security check. Was continuing on SA later in the afternoon, so passed the time in the STAR lounge, which is very nice too...actually open to the terminal so aesthetically nicer than the Admirals Club. STAR lounge is open to Priority Pass cardholders until late afternoon, then exclusive to STAR fliers. Worth checking out for part of one's transit if you're there for a long layover and have PP.
