Been doing several trips to SCL on AA this Fall, with (hopefully) my last one coming up soon. Scheduled to fly home on AA940 on 11/19.

This flight was being operated by a 787-8, but then upgauged to a 772 for the winter season. For a few weeks, it is being operated by a three class 772, but then, I think, it is switching to a two class 772.

The thing is, though, on 11/19, it is showing a two class aircraft in that Expertflyer is showing no First Class fare buckets (even zeroed out), but rather only Business and Economy fare buckets. However, Expertflyer is showing the three class 772 Business Class seat map.

The EXP desk thinks it is a three class flight, but when I tried to upgrade to F, I was told the waitlist was full (never heard of that for a J to F VIP upgrade).

Any thoughts on whether this will be a two or three class aircraft? If a two class, I'm happy in J, but I don't do angled lie-flats, so will need a Plan B if this is a three class flight and I cannot even waitlist for an upgrade.
