Hello -

I have to book a round trip flight from LAX to CGK (Jakarta). Approx 17-18k miles round trip.

I'm currently Platinum (CC spend waiver) - but 6000 PQD short of 1k - not planning on spending that much by years end.

What would be the best use of that flight?

1. Stick with United? (United / ANA)
2. Fly a partner for a better experience?
- EVA? Won't have any real benefits other than minimal SAGold benefits. Possibility to upgrade depending on booking class with United Miles? (Citi prestige miles to transfer to EVA?)
3. Status match to AA? Any tips? Won't have seat benefits for the flight. Extra cost. Cathay operated flights might not even count to the challenge.
4. Status match to Delta?

This is where my travel savvy skills are limited.
