I was just wondering:
1) Is the free continental breakfast supposed to include tip/graduity? The voucher I received explicity stated "tip not included", but this is unlike most hotel chains which include breakfast.
Offering continental breakfast vs. full breakfast (and of course for 1 person only

) already isn't very impressive, so expecting a $2-$5 tip always is a way of discouraging members from using this benefit.
2) Is there a (published) minimum standard for the continental breakfast for concierge members? I recently stayed at a Radisson where the breakfast consisted of four hot items, a few yoghurts and a plate with pastries. The breakfast wasn't overly impressive to begin with, but after eliminating the hot items, it was a rather mediocre offering. In fact, I'm not sure the continental breakfast was worth the $2 tip I left.
