What are your thoughts on the Anywhere card picking up the status of default payment card from the Amex TrueEarnings Card? I don't remember being asked if I wanted the given status to be a part of the transfer.

It may be legal for Citi to do it, but I did not anticipate Costco to allow it without the customer at least being alerted say a week before the first upcoming annual membership renewal.
