On a side note, our FA crew were Miami based. Didn't even know Delta operated a flight attendant base from Miami. Was this to furnish the expansion they embarked on about 3 years ago, that didn't work out?
I think it's actually left over from Pan Am. I talked to a MIA-based FA deadheading home who said she worked for Pan Am back in the day.

DL has a fairly significant operation there (for an outstation), so it makes sense.
