Made the right decision - Used the starpoints card for $4691 in taxes. Do you get double points for the convenience fee ($116.81). This year it wasn't for the miles but due to cash flow charging was the best decision, so getting 9382 miles for the $116 hurts a little less. Ordinarily I wouldn't want to pay the convenience fee just to get miles, but this year we needed to so glad there was a promo. Since I just transferred 140K stawood miles to British Airways for their great promo getting 350K miles, the coffers in the starpoints account is depleted so it will be nice to build it up again.
