Having stayed at the Nicosia Hilton, I agree with everything sandiego1k said. All in all, a nice property, with a good restaurant and very helpful staff. The miniscule non-smoking area (about 3 or 4 tables in the worst location) in the large lounge is amusing (?) since you are overwhelmed by the other 90 percent of customers who are smoking. However, the country is very nice, clean, has no pollution, a good climate and is recommended. Incidentally, the wall in Nicosia which divides Greek and Turkish Cyprus reminds me of a mini-berlin wall.
