Interestingly, when I phone up AmEx to see how much spending was still required, the agent knew nothing and could find nothing about this promotion. I have definitely crossed the spend requirement by now.

I am planning to downgrade the card when the bonus is posted and upgrade the wife's blue card. I'm waiting patiently!
