The AC barcode only appears to have gender, name, cabin, seat, # checked bags, sequence#, AE#, etc... not 6-character locator. The barcodes of several other airlines also lack the 5-character PNR Locator, but it is printed in plaintext. Not sure if this helps, but just an observation.
The record locator is included in the barcode, the record locator is one of the mandatory fields in the IATA-BCBP as defined by Resolution 792.
