That's the case, if there is a tarmac position vs a gate; it often adds time indeed.
Personally, I prefer UA 58 not to arrive early, as this take away inflight sleeping time, often to be lost once landed anyway.
This is usually not an issue with UA 926 arriving around 3h00 in the afternoon.
(fyi, UA 926 is currently not operating due to winter schedule)
