Are these really "turbulent times" for an Air Canada CEO (no matter who it is)?
Compared to AC's situations over the past 20 years I'd figure these are the easiest times:
- Canadian Airlines
- Onex
- 2003 bankruptcy protection
- fuel prices plummet and AC isn't hedged
- 787 comes long with better economics
- US dollar strength
- Westjet is nothing compared to what Canadian was
These lists are probably WAY longer.
Yes, and add lengthy labour agreements now in place to that list which has created a certain amount of corporate turbulence for CEO's in the past.
