Actually, AC hardly advertises in the National Post. Most ads in the Globe&Mail and local dailies (though granted those are owned by the NP inc.)
But what counts in this capitalist world is ROI. And AC's stock has gone from under $1 to an average of between $10 and $12, with profits returning on most of the last dozen quarters. Forecast calls for a significant increase in the 3rd quarter when announced next Monday.
We may not like flying in the back of the 777s there days with 10-across seating but it increased capacity by 15% at very little additional capital (new seats) or operational cost, resulting in the equivalent of adding two new aircraft to high density routes, saving $200 million or more in debt, leasing or capital commitments.
