Yeah, I actually agree... they should just incorporate it into the price. (I knew about the fee when I booked, but even with the fee the rate was comparable to other nearby hotels.)
That said, as a plat they offered me a discounted resort fee ($10) since I was already entitled to free internet, or to waive it entirely (but then have to pay for the other services it covered a la carte). Since I was planning to use some of the services (various activities are included, such as a golf simulator) I accepted the discounted fee.
