Do regional crews switch which parent airline they fly for?
I was in 1A on an ERJ 145, operated by Trans States for United and could see into the galley next to me. When the FA was making her announcements (not the safety, that's off a recording, but the other usual nonsense about drink service, the credit card, etc), she was reading off a hand written script which I thought was odd, because half of the FT United forum could probably recite that spiel from memory, so an FA should too, right?
Got me wondering though. Trans States also flies 145s for American. Do the crews ever switch out - could the pilots and FAs be flying for United today and American tomorrow and back to United the next day? Then the cheat sheet would make sense, so after a long day, she doesn't slip up and start talking about the Citi Aadvantage card on a United flight.
