Given that UA is offering r/t for that journey for $3194 inc taxes, I think it would be hard to call $4500 a steal.
How much can the travel agent get a flight to MNL for ? If it is able to price LAX-MNL for $3200, may be rather difficult to convince company to pay up even another $1300 ( if can get a fare on AA for $4500 )
