I've done HCMC to the Cambodian border over 2 days. Yeah, it gets boring after awhile. It's loud, diesel fumes, limited beer selection, then tightly crammed into a mini bus.

Fun to do once though!

I can't imagine going from HCMC to Siem Reap in a boat.
